Impressive Book/Movie
I'm going to start off firsthand by saying I am not an avid reader. I have however done a fair amount of reading over the years. I'd say my favorite book of all time would have to be Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The way that Hunter S. Thompson uses words to paint a picture, is incredible. He uses so much detail in his books, its almost like you are a part of it. The other part I liked about the book, was its topics. Now, I'm not much of a druggie or anything but I enjoyed "seeing" all the different drugs that the main characters used and their reactions. I also enjoyed the perspective that Thompson wrote from. Not only was the main character a journalist, but so was he. The views that the main character had were the same as his own. I equally enjoyed the movie that went along with the book. Johnny Depp portrayed the character right on, and it was entertaining from start to finish. Never did it get dull or drag on. It's sad that Thompson died not too long ago, perhaps he would've been able to create another masterpiece.
